loping nicely. The best word to describe the condition of my head is
the name of Cousin Eddie's dog in the classic movie, Christmas Vacation. It has been so long since I had a cold that I forgot the feeling. Experiencing a cold is similar to experiencing childbirth. Once it is over, the pain is forgotton. When it occurs again, the memory comes back. I guess we all have to suffer an amount of discomfort to appreciate good health. I intended to go to church this morning, but I didn't think dipping my fingers in the holy water would be enough to disinfect my entire body and prevent contamination of everyone else. I think I'll follow Hamlet's thoughts today: "...To sleep - perchance to dream...."On a more pleasant topic, the football and basketball Dawgs both won their games in Carbondale yesterday. The football Dawgs will meet William & Mary College (Williamsburg, VA) next Saturday in Carbondale in the next playoff game. How far will they go???
